Doménica Montero

Doménica meets Max Langer and is immediately charmed by his generosity and charisma. Meanwhile, Luis Fernando is enjoying the company of his partner, Paula, with whom he is celebrating their upcoming pregnancy. During a horseback ride, Doménica sees her horse become agitated and put her safety at risk. Just in time, Max Langer intervenes to rescue her. After a few months of dating, Max is ready to make their relationship official and take the next step: proposing to Doménica. However, it's all part of a plan orchestrated by him and Kiara, Doménica's cousin. Their goal is to ruin her and take all her money, feigning love and commitment before running away together. After weeks of preparing the wedding details, Max arrives with disturbing news for Doménica: he no longer wants to continue with the marriage and is determined to end it.

Domenica learns of her fiancé's debts and offers to help him. At the airport, Max confesses to Kiara that he has truly fallen in love with Domenica. Luis Fernando mourns Paula's death.
